Step 1: Buy a Domain and Hosting
- First, go to a trusted website like GoDaddy, Hostinger, Bluehost, or Namecheap.
- Choose your domain name – this is your website address (like
mybusiness.com). - Select a hosting plan – this is the storage where your website will live.
- Complete the payment process.
Step 2: Connect Domain and Hosting
- If you bought both domain and hosting from the same provider, it will be connected automatically.
- If not, you’ll need to update nameservers in your domain panel to point to your hosting.
Step 3: Install WordPress
- Login to your hosting account (like cPanel or dashboard).
- Go to “WordPress Installer” or “Auto Installer”.
- Click Install WordPress.
- Choose your domain name.
- Set a username and password for your WordPress login.
- Click Install.
In just a few seconds, WordPress will be installed!
Step 4: Login to WordPress
- Go to:
yourdomain.com/wp-admin - Login using the username and password you created.
- This is your WordPress Dashboard — where you can control your full website.
Step 5: Choose a Theme & Start Building
- Go to Appearance → Themes.
- Click “Add New” and choose a free or paid theme.
- Install and activate it.
- Now go to Pages and create your homepage, about page, contact page, etc.
